If you need help finding out if someone has been recently arrested in San Antonio by SAPD and is now an inmate or has an upcoming court date, there are several resources that can assist you.
For criminal cases, the Bexar County District Clerk maintains a list of current case information for indicted cases. You can also conduct a search by name for current and past cases in the Bexar County Justice Information Portal, which replaced the old search.bexar.org court records search. You can use this search to conduct a search for criminal or civil records including divorce records.
For recently arrested individuals the Bexar County Jail provides nightly arrest reports for all individuals taken into custody that night. You can also conduct a search of jail records in San Antonio to see if someone is in custody or has been released.
To conduct a search by name for people arrested within the last 24 hours, the Bexar County Central Magistrate has a free online search. The Central Magistrate can also be called at the following phone number 210-207-7532.
You can also obtain information about inmates by calling Central Records at the Bexar County Jail at phone number 210-335-6201. Keep in mind the phone lines are extra busy during regular office hours, so begin with the online search first.
To find out if the person you are looking for is an inmate in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice conduct a search here. This is for individuals who have been already sentenced and are serving time in a Texas facility.
Finally, if you have a ticket in San Antonio Municipal you can conduct an online search for information.
If you are looking for a specific police report, you can obtain a police report by making an open records request which is available online.
